🚨 HWY 36 CLOSURE UPDATE – PLEASE READ 🚨

I went out and personally took photos at HWY 36 & HWY 434 and along Horseshoe Island Road so everyone can see exactly what we’re dealing with.

⚠️ HWY 36 is CLOSED

⚠️ Horseshoe Island Road is NOT a viable detour

Horseshoe Island Road is extremely narrow, has no shoulders, and was never designed to handle the amount of traffic it’s currently seeing. Two vehicles barely pass each other in spots, and if there’s an accident, breakdown, or emergency vehicle, everything comes to a complete stop.

🚫 Using Horseshoe Island Road as a detour is:

Unsafe

Slowing emergency response

Creating unnecessary backups

Putting residents at risk

👉 PLEASE find an alternate route and avoid Horseshoe Island Road unless you absolutely live on it.

I know this closure is frustrating. I know it’s inconvenient. But forcing traffic down a road that simply can’t handle it is only making things worse for everyone.
